Jai Caulfield-Caruso

Founder of Being Mindful Matters and Wellbeing Specialist

Jai was born in Aoteoroa (New Zealand) in 1974, where her Australian parents were living at the time.  Returning home to Australia when she was one.  Much of Jai’s childhood was spent at a dancing school where she first knew she enjoyed learning, dancing and teaching.  Jai was blessed to grow up in a loving extended family, with her parents, younger sister, brother and cousins who often enjoyed time spent together at their grandparents home.

Blessed again with three beautiful children and a wonderful husband and an even bigger extended family, Jais’ favourite things are spending time having family adventures, dancing with friends, eating good food, learning, chanting and meditating.  Jai’s passion for life, her interest in people, thirst for knowledge of the Self and enthusiasm to create a better world, empowering one person at a time, has all led her to create her business Being Mindful Matters  where she can hand pick the very best Professionals to work along side her and together join forces to continue to make a positive difference.

Jai’s vast work history includes her younger years working as a dance teacher, in early childhood development, hospitality and retail, before Jai chose to study Adult and Community Education and Advanced Facilitation, and has since worked in various roles within the Education and Employment Sectors, teaching, developing and delivering a range of programs,  project managing, public speaking,  performance coaching and motivating others to live their life to the fullest.

Whilst working as a Learning and Development Consultant Jai spent over ten years facilitating groups and working one on one as a behavioral coach, in both the community and corporate sectors, supporting management in coaching for success, coaching for improvement,  performance management and conflict resolution.  Tailoring accredited and non accredited programs to assist employees build successful teams and improve individual outcomes as well as working with individuals who were unemployed and considered to be ‘highly disadvantaged’ by the Department of Workplace Relations (DEWR).
